AUS announce the Award Winners and Honour Roll inductees at the 2012 Annual Awards Presentation

The 2012 Australian University Sport Annual Awards Dinner was held at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach Resort, Sydney, Thursday 17 May.

The University of Melbourne took away several AUS Awards for Female Athlete of the Year (Marieke Guehrer, Swimming), Team of the Year (Swimming), and Coach of the Year (Alex Hensilwood, Rowing), with The University of Sydney taking away Overall Champion University and Male Athlete of the Year Award (Lachlan Renshaw, Athletics).

The night also announced Most Outstanding Sporting Achievement of the Year (Blake Cochrane, Swimming, University of Sunshine Coast, Service to Sport awarded to (Jean Ryan, Charles Sturt University) and Per Capita Champion University which was awarded to Bond University.

AUS also inducted nine champions and twenty medallists who competed on an international level into the AUS Honour Roll. The full list of inductees will be named on the website Monday 21 May.
